Kingston Little League Programs:
Tee Ball (4 - 6)
Often, a family’s first introduction to Little League® is in the Tee Ball program. Tee Ball is co-ed and is the entry level division for players, ages 4-6. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game.
The Little League Tee Ball program provides volunteer coaches with everything they need to create an environment where players will learn the skills of the game, while having fun and staying active.
Each Little Leaguer is required to play one season of Tee Ball before being eligible to be evaluated by the local league officials for consideration to advance to a higher division of Little League baseball or softball.Tee Ball players use bats and balls (baseballs) designated specifically for use in this division. The roster size for a Tee Ball team averages 7-8 players, with a season featuring 1 practices per week with a single game played on weekends.
Minor League - Coach Pitch (6 - 7)The minor league coach pitch may be players age 6-7
The Little League® Coach Pitch Program was created to provide volunteer managers and coaches in the Little League Minor Baseball Division with the appropriate direction to organize and efficiently operate practices throughout the season.
The focus is on the fundamentals of baseball, and is designed to build a solid foundation for becoming a successful ballplayer, including the “emotional fuel tank,” as described by Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). The program assumes that the volunteers who have accepted the responsibility of coaching children in this age group have a limited background in baseball and the leadership and teaching acumen that is inherent with coaching Little Leaguers® at this level of the program.
Each week’s lesson offers extensive review, while continuing to tout the importance of team-building and chemistry. Coaches can use the opportunities provided in this program to engage with the children on your team and grow their self-worth. It’s important for coaches to remember that Little League is a fun activity that has as its prime objective nurturing and growing well-rounded and productive people, not developing elite ballplayers.
Minor League - Player Pitch/Coach Pitch (8 - 9)

To keep players active and games moving coach pitch can be implemented for player safety.
